Dr. Zijia Li is an Assistant Research Professor at the National Institute of Early Education Research (NIEER). Her research interests are (1) early care and education policy and quality, (2) quantitative research design and evaluation tool development for field research that informs early education policy, and (3) psychometric theories and applications in early education. Dr. Li has led psychometric evaluation studies and proposal development in Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-3), Early Learning Scale (ELS), and Classroom Assessment of Supports for Emergent Bilingual Acquisition (CASEBA). Dr. Li also has worked as a statistician and psychometrician on multiple research projects, including, PNC-National Household Education Survey (NHES) Study, Philadelphia’s Preschool Program Evaluation, Connecticut Special Needs Assessment Study, NYC Coach Time Use Study, and Comparative Early Childhood Policy Research with China, etc.
