Julie MacLeod
Bio
Julie MacLeod recently joined NIEER as a Data Collector and then Research Project Coordinator. Julie currently works on the Creative Curriculum Study, which explores curriculum implementation and quality in New Jersey early education settings, while also working in a supporting role on additional studies. Prior to joining NIEER, Julie spent most of her career working at the New Jersey Community Development Corporation in Paterson, NJ, where she most recently served as the director for the agency’s state-funded preschool program. Julie had been a member of the agency’s staff for nearly twenty years, in which time she served as a member of the AmeriCorps National Service program, administered various youth development programs, and also served as the Director of Youth Development and an early childhood educator. She has also served as a founding member of the Community Charter School of Paterson, as well as a Board Trustee for the Philip’s Academy Charter School of Paterson. Julie earned her B.A. in Psychology from Montclair State University and holds an M.S. in Early Childhood Studies from Walden University.
