Jessica focuses on policy-relevant research to improve preschool experiences for children, families, and school staff. At NIEER, she has supported work related to the annual State of Preschool Yearbook report and analyses of preschool teacher well-being. Prior to joining NIEER, Jessica worked in partnership with NYU and New York City Public Schools' Division of Early Childhood Education on research of professional learning in New York City Pre-K For All. She also worked at NYU School of Medicine on ParentCorps, an intervention to strengthen family engagement and support parents and teachers to create high-quality preschool learning environments. Jessica is passionate about advancing educational equity by centering children, families, and educators through community interventions and local, state, and national policy. Jessica earned her Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Intervention at New York University and her Masters and BS from Vanderbilt University.
