SESEBA Professional Development Training Series

SESEBA emphasizes that effective teaching for preschoolers who are dual language learners (DLLs) involves meaningful interactions in the home language and structured strategies for English learning.

We're offering a series of SESEBA training sessions designed to enhance support for home language maintenance and English acquisition across different roles within preschool education.

  1. SESEBA Administrators Institute focuses on empowering school-level and district administrators to establish and sustain effective systemic support systems.
  2. SESEBA Institute provides teachers and coaches with concrete, research-based strategies for integrating home language and English instruction in the classroom.
  3. SESEBA Paraprofessional Institute equips paraprofessionals with the skills needed to support dual language learners effectively.

These trainings aim to build a cohesive approach to language development, ensuring all educational staff are well-prepared to foster both home language preservation and English language acquisition in their settings.
