Curriculum Decision-Making: Dimensions to Consider

The educational effectiveness of P-3 programs relies on what curriculum is used and how well it is implemented. Curriculum, put simply, is the content of learning and how it is best acquired. Given the multitude of available curriculum models, confusion abounds regarding which ones are more effective and appropriate for young children overall or specific populations such as dual language learners or children with disabilities. This presentation introduces research on various curriculum models to help evaluate curricula for specific programs.
