Funding cuts to state-funded prekindergarten programs in FY10 & 11

As documented in NIEER’s annual report The State of Preschool 2009, the rate of the growth of spending on pre-K has decreased even as state expenditures increased. In this brief report, NIEER Co-Director Steve Barnett and Research Professor Dale Epstein estimate the cuts in state funding for prekindergarten across fiscal years 2010 and 2011.
