This article shares the results of a study of the benefits of continuity of care in a military child development center serving children from birth to age 2. Although continuity of care is beneficial to child development, it is not usually the norm in infant and toddler centers. The author suggests that teacher professional development related to continuity of care enhances the professional community as an essential aspect of improving teacher learning and practice.
