This study follows the children who participated in the High/Scope Perry preschool program, analyzing the costs and benefits of the program.
This article presents an additional cost-benefit analysis of the High/Scope Perry preschool program, using data on individuals at age 40. Published in The Journal of Human Resources, Volume 41, Volume 1, findings include program gains from higher tax revenues, lower criminal justice system expenditures, and lower welfare payments. These benefits outweigh program costs, repaying well above the money invested in the intervention program.
