Move to restore kindergarten money lauded

School officials in Massachusetts lauded the Legislature’s override of a budget veto by Acting Governor Jane Swift that would have eliminated a $28 million statewide grant program for full-day kindergarten. Restoring the full-day kindergarten program was a leading priority for state Representative David Linsky, a Natick Democrat who led the fight at the State House to override the acting governor’s veto.
