Teachers, experts and community leaders agree that it is almost impossible for Latino children to break the cycle of poverty unless their education starts at a very early age. While efforts exist to provide children with early education through programs such as Head Start, the majority of Latino children often do not enter schools until kindergarten or even first grade.
