Florida Governor endorses pre-K proposal

Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday moved to soften his approach, endorsing a proposal to offer free pre-kindergarten classes to every 4-year-old in the state. The pre-kindergarten plan is estimated to cost between $425 million and $650 million a year, but Bush said the proposal “allows for some creative ways” to boost existing pre-kindergarten programs.
