States' Efforts in Improving the Qualifications of Early Care and Education Teachers

This article describes efforts by individual states to improve teacher training policies and summarizes practices that seem to offer the most promise for improving early childhood education teachers' qualifications. Suggestions for future research are also included in this article published in Educational Policy, Volume 18, Number 2.
